This chess set is Hand-carved from soapstone from Western Kenya. 12 pieces. Soapstone is one of the most eco-friendly stones to harvest. Additionally, soapstone is naturally bacteria resistant, so no harsh chemicals are used in its fabrication and it can be cleaned with natural harmless products. The board is 14 - 15 inches square inlaid with pink and white soapstone. Each piece is hand carved in either pink or white soapstone. The game pieces are approximately 2.25 to 3.5 inches tall.
