Bucephalandra Freya
Bucephalandra is often regarded as a beginner-friendly aquarium plant for aquascaping, though it’s not chosen as frequently as other popular types like Anubias, Amazon Sword, or Java Fern. However, this family of aquatic aroid plants shouldn't be overlooked! Commonly called Buce, this flowering genus brings dynamic color, texture, shapes, and sizes to any planted tank. Freya is a variety we're not yet familiar with, but we like what we see. It features rounded, ruffled leaves with a distinct rib running down the center and bold green color that’s nearly black. Under the right aquarium light, it’s sure to produce beautiful contrast and the signature shimmer Bucephalandra are known for.
