Yasmin 3 mg (21 Tablets)

Yasmin is a combination oral contraceptive pill containing two active ingredients: drospirenone (a progestin) and ethinyl estradiol (an estrogen). It is used to prevent pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary), thickening cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching the egg, and thinning the lining of the uterus to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg. In addition to contraception, Yasmin is also prescribed to treat moderate acne in women who desire contraception and to treat symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
