Yaz 0.02 mg/3 mg (28 Tablets)

Yaz is a combination oral contraceptive pill that contains two active ingredients: drospirenone (a progestin) and ethinyl estradiol (an estrogen). Like Yasmin, it is used to prevent pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation, thickening cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching the egg, and thinning the lining of the uterus to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg. Additionally, Yaz is also prescribed to treat moderate acne in women who desire contraception and to treat symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
