Beginning later in 2004 or perhaps early 2005, polymer receivers for certain GLOCK pistols will be made in the United States at the Smyrna, Georgia, plant. Robert GLOCK advises that it has been the plan for some time to move receiver production for North American pistols to the GLOCK, Inc. Operation in the United States. Provided all goes well, slide and barrel production in the U.S. will follow shortly. It is our opinion here at GCA that the "made in the U.S.A." logo will only further enhance GLOCK's sales and market position in the United States. GLOCK is said to hold close to 80 percent of the U.S. law enforcement market, and it is a safe bet that many police administrators who have not already authorized or adopted GLOCK have not done so because the pistols are made outside the United States... Ted Nugent's
