About St Joseph Pocket Saint St. Joseph of the Holy Family was the foster father of Jesus - teaching him his trade, raising him, and supporting both Jesus & Mary.  The Bible calls St. Joseph a "just man" and there probably is no greater compliment one could give for the man who raised, taught, inspired, and loved his family.  Among many others, St. Joseph is the patron saint of fathers, workers, and the Universal Church.
