Arachis hypogaea Lectin (PNA) - TRITC (Rhodamine)
Arachis hypogaea agglutinin (PNA) is purified by affinity chromatography (SKU: 2151000) and consists of four subunits of approximately 27,000 kDa each. This lectin has an isoelectric point between pH 5.5 and pH 6.5. Galactose and lactose are poor inhibitors while disaccharide Galß(1-3)GalNAc and desialylated human erythrocyte N-substance (T-antigen which is present in many M and N blood groups) are potent inhibitors of PNA. Arachis hypogaea (Peanut) Lectin (PNA) is labeled with tetramethylrhodamine isothiocyanate (TRITC) and has an appropriate number of fluorochromes bound to provide the optimum staining characteristics for this lectin. TRITC is a bright orange or red-fluorescent dye with excitation ideally suited to the 532-nm laser line. TRITC labeled PNA can be used for cellular imaging applications. This product comes in a stabilized liquid form.
