Uji Sencha Green Tea, Organic

This specialty Organic Sencha green tea comes direct from farms in Uji, Japan. Ujicha is highly regarded in flavor due to growing in rich soil and pure water from the Uji and Kizu rivers. The deep valleys create great temperature ranges between night and day, resulting in fog that protects the delicate buds from frost. Sencha is grown in full sun. New buds are hand-picked, steamed and carefully kneaded as they dry. Tea has been cultivated and enjoyed in this region of Kyoto for over 500 years.
