The artisan - Park Ae Kyung - introduced organic, sustainable farming practices to her local village in 1997. She started by cultivating rice and soybeans without any chemical pesticides. With the leftover soybean yield, Park began to experiment the art of traditional soy sauce and doenjang making. After 19 years, her brand has gained a large following in Korea and even sell as premium traditional goods in Korean department stores!Gaeul Hyanggi's Soup Soy Sauce is made with 100% Korea-grown, organic soybeans. The soybeans are mashed into meju bricks and left to ferment for 6 months.
