Taeseong Food is a small seeds grower from Geosan County, an area in North Chungcheong Province known for its clean waters and fertile soil. There, the head grower, Mr. Lee Gwang Bum, has spent the last 30 years cultivating and harvesting sesame and perilla seeds. Mr. Lee takes pride in growing his sesame seeds naturally - without the help of chemical pesticides. Many sesame oil producers roast their sesame seeds at a high temperature of ~270°C. However, the high heat also eliminates the nutrition within the seeds. Thus, Taeseong roasts their seeds at ~170°C. This temperature - along with other best practices - produces a sesame oil that is both deeply aromatic and full of nutritional value. Taeseong is not a large producer - it's a small farm! So it does not produce oil in large batches. Instead, a small quantity is made-to-order. This ensures that every custom
