Small Moose Antler Billet

Small Alaskan moose antler billet with head diameter between 1.5" - 2" (approx.). Minimum of 6" in length but most are longer. Moose antler is preferred for percussion flintknapping due to its density and size. Moose antler is much more solid and larger in general than deer antler, so sizing should not be compared to our deer antler products. Small moose antler is typically the equivalent of a large or extra large deer antler billet. All of our traditional antler 'abo' billets are domed and can be resurfaced many times. Sold individually. These finished and ready-to-use traditional knapping billets are made from base sections of premium Alaskan Moose antler. The base section closest to the skull is the densest portion of antler. Shape and color will vary with each billet.    Antler is softer than modern knapping billet materials like copper, aluminum, and steel.
