About the Piece 10" tall hand blown, clear martini glass with a base measuring 3" across and an intricate wave design on the surface of the glass. With a stem made of layered glass spheres and discs as well as the consistent, fine flute walls this glass is easily recognizable as Paiko's masterful work. About the Artist "Rather than a form emerging from a block of solid stone reductively, forms of glass are pushed into space organically by a cumulative history of layering and motion. My object-making process has developed to extend this layering, whereby many separate, individual glass parts are fused cold, away from the furnace to form a collage of sorts.
