JSP Nitric Acid Substitute Sodium Nitrate for Gold Refining & Recovery - Reagent Grade (4 oz, 8 oz , & 16 oz bag)
JSP Nitric Acid Substitute is designed to dissolve and refine gold when combined with hydrochloric acid, facilitating the precipitation and recovery of precious metals. Directions for Use: Prepare the Solution: Dissolve 80 grams (2.8 oz) of JSP Nitric Acid Substitute in 50 milliliters (1.7 fl oz) of distilled water. Use a small glass mixing container, adding the water all at once and swirling to aid dissolution. Note: Distilled water is recommended to prevent impurities from affecting the solution's composition. Add Hydrochloric Acid: Measure 100 milliliters (3.4 fl oz) of JSP Hydrochloric Acid using a graduated cylinder for accuracy. Carefully transfer the acid into the prepared solution, avoiding spills or splashes. Gently swirl the container to mix the components thoroughly. Caution: Perform this step in a well-ventilated area or under a fume hood, as the reaction may emit strong fumes. Set Up a Safety Containment: Fill a larger container with 50 milliliters (1.7 fl oz)
