1914 Your King And Country Need You Join The Army British Recruiting WWI

This poster is on an older linen backing with wooden dowels on the top and bottom edges that appear to be original to when the poster was orginaly used in 1914.   This poster features the Great Seal of the Realm bracketed by the initials G.R. (George Rex) for King George V and red and blue text in large block capital letters that reads:  YOUR KING AND COUNTRY NEED YOU – JOIN THE ARMY UNTIL THE WAR IS OVER  The lower margin is printed Published By The Parliamentary Recruiting Committee, London Poster No. 3.   Also printed in the lower margin on the right side is “H.W. & V., Ld. W.5962. 10/14” indicating this poster was printed by Hazell, Watson & Viney, Ltd. and an October 1914 publication date, only a couple months after the United Kingdom declared war on Germany and entered the conflagration
