This poster is unique in that it was designed to appeal directly to women and mothers in particular.  The poster features a motherly figure with arms outstretched against a patriotic red, white and blue banner behind which a hellish war scene unfolds featuring a sinking ship, dead soldiers, soldiers charging forward and exploding artillery shells.  Text framing the image reads:    WOMEN!
