For this poster Wallace renders an image of an American doughboy sitting in a trench and drinking from a tin mess kit cup over a caption that reads: FEED a FIGHTER Eat only what you need – Waste nothing – That he and his family may have enough – United States Food AdministrationSmall text just below the image indicates the maker of this poster as The Strobridge Litho. Company of Cincinnati and New York City. This vintage original WWI poster shows moderate handling wear and modest toning from age. The poster shows slight lateral creasing, a short tear of about a half inch on the left edge and a small nick off the tip of the lower right hand corner. A couple small pieces of cello tape were removed off the back of the poster. Overall condition is very good.
