Date: 1947Artist: Baldinelli, ArmandoSize (in): 39.375 x 27.675”Size (cm): 100 cm x 70.3Condition: BLinen backed: No This vintage original Italian travel poster advertising the city of Bologna and the Anno Santo or Holy Year in the Catholic faith was created by Armando Baldinelli and issued by ENIT, the official Italian tourism authority, shortly after the end of WWII.  For this poster, Baldinelli uses an image of the Arca di San Domenico (Ark of Saint Dominic), a monument containing the remains of Saint Dominic located in the Basilica of San Domenico in Bologna, Italy.   The words “Anno Santo” and “Holy Year” appear in the upper left corner and Baldinelli’s name is signed in print in the upper right corner.  The left margin is printed GRAFICHE GIGLI – ESENTE DA BOLLO D.L. 8-11-47 N.1417 – AUTORIZZ QUESTURA DI ROMA – PRINTED IN ITALY BY ENIT – A CURA DELL E.P.T.
