The artwork is typical of Stanley’s idealized sentimental portrayals of American life and depicts a young man serenading his girlfriend at her bedroom window. Stanley would have a successful career as an illustrator doing 17 covers for the Saturday Evening Post as well as advertising and portrait work. This poster is professionally backed to linen. A vertical tear has been expertly repaired which ran most of the length of the poster and a horizontal crease line across the center is visible upon close inspection. The poster shows nice color and displays well. Overall condition is very good.
