This is a silkscreen poster printed one side only on poster board. For this poster Casson renders an image of waves crashing onto a rocky shore with a sailboat and one of the regions many lighthouses visible in the distance. Casson’s name appears at the bottom of the image along with the Canadian National Railways logo and text that reads Surf & Sunshine New Brunswick - Nova Scotia – Prince Edward Island. A.J. Casson (1898-1992) was a member of the “Group of Seven”, an influential group of Canadian landscape painters considered Canada’s first major national art movement.
