Date: c.1970 Artist: Hoch, Hans Peter Size (in): 33” x 23” Size (cm): 82.5 x 57.5 Condition: B+ Linen backed: No This is an original poster issued by the West German Institute for Foreign Relations for an exhibition titled “Johannes Gutenberg, 1400-1468: Printing transforms the world”. This exhibit toured the United States around 1970 so I’d date this poster to around that time period. This poster measures about 33” x 23” and the upper margin indicates the poster was “Designed by Hans Peter Hoch” and “Printed in W. Germany by Domberger”. This poster shows some toning from age and a bit of handling wear including small surface contact loss of paper on the corners and a minor light trace of staining on the edge in one spot. There is a bit of staining to the back of the poster which doesn’t affect appearances. The poster displays well and is in very good condition overall.
