Date: 1943 Artist: Anonymous Size (in): 28" x 22" Size (cm): 70 x 55 Condition: A- Linen backed: No This is an original WWII era poster issued by the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service with cartoonish caricatures of Adolf Hitler and Japanese Emperor Hirohito against a background of a blazing forest fire with text that reads: OUR CARELESSNESS Their Secret Weapon – Prevent Forest Fires This poster is dated 1943 and has USGPO document code O-505840.  This vintage original poster looks unused and has only slight handling wear and what looks like a single pinhole in the lower left hand corner and a short tear of about a corner inch in the left margin.  The colors are strong and the poster displays beautifully.   This poster is rolled and was never folded.
