This Martin Committee Alto Saxophone has been overhauled in our shop with new pads, corks, and felts. Not a lot of the old lacquer left. These models are unique in that all keys are solid nickel silver and not plated. One of the toughest Saxophones ever made. Flat metal boosters were installed in the new pads to retain the instrument’s “mellow edge.” During its time, several notable artists played the Committee Alto. No dents and the mechanism is tight. The tone holes are flat. What is left of the old lacquer may have been an earlier relacquer, but the metal is intact. Please see the photographs. Enjoy a great vintage Alto for $825 plus shipping.
