It is constructed of tightly stacked layers of suede on one side and a silicone disc on the other with a hand-turned cork grip between the two sides. This mallet has a super light-weight feel and plays exceptionally well on alchemy crystal singing bowls, as well as frosted crystal, and metal bowls.The suede column creates a clear, pristine sound when struck against the wall of singing bowls. The suede is firm enough for a super quick response, but soft enough for a warm, luscious sound and is safe for striking even thin-walled crystal bowls.
