General Plant Information: Malanga or Colocasia esculenta is a stemless tropical plant. Cultivated in the Caribbean  for its tuberous edible starchy roots. They are cooked and eaten like yams or potatoes. The plant require a well drainage sandy soil. It can be cultivated both at full sun or partial shade.
