Our pictures try to represent the Sire and Dame as well as males and females of different ages to show how they may mature over time.     Pure Flametail Endler males mature to 1.5 inches. Although their color is tricky to capture in photos, they is absolutely dazzling in person. The males mature into the Red Flame in the center of their transparent tail along with the black back strip and lime green/ orange markings.  Females mature to 2 inches. They are a very light silver/ grey and may appear transparent in some lighting.  These fish have a peaceful temperament and are rarely aggressive toward their young.
