Red Wagtail Platy

Xiphophorus maculatus: Red Wagtail Platy.  These vibrant fish are stunning to behold, with their Red body and Black fins. You will receive 1 male and 1 female Platy. Unlike other tropical fish, both sexes will look amazing in your personal aquascape because both males and females fully display this flamboyant coloring.  These fish are juvenile now, and will continue to color and fill out as they age. Females mature to 2.5 inches, and males mature to a slimmer 2 inches in approximately 4 -6 months.  All fish are breed and raised by us in PNW well water. We are meticulously line breeding these beauties to increase the size and darkness.  Juveniles now, these fish will mature and grow out in color and size after you have received them. We offer different ratios of genders. Please note that ratios are dependent on availability and may not be currently in stock.  Our pictures represent the Sire and Dame as well as males and females of different ages to show how they may mature over time.
