2018 Suavia "Massifitti" Veronese Trebbiano
94 Points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This vintage marks the 10th anniversary (2008-2018) of one of the most successful out-of-the-box white wines created in this appellation. Before the Tessari sisters of Suavia, the concept of an age-worthy Trebbiano di Soave was unheard of. The role of the grape was previously limited to blending with Garganega. In a screw-cap bottle, the 2018 Trebbiano Massifitti shows a medium-rich texture with stone fruit, limestone and preserved lemon. Winemaking sees stainless steel only with lees contact. This is a white wine that drinks like a red wine, but it has the freshness and brightness to pair with fish or lean meats. Production is 20,000 bottles. The Tessari sisters make some of the best Soave (and Trebbiano di Soave) you can find.
