The Sierra - Malachite Wedding Ring

This wooden wedding band is a twist on one of our most popular wedding ring styles! The ring is made out of genuine malachite, real American white oak wood from staves used in whiskey barrels and tungsten. The tungsten is platted in 18K rose gold which looks fantastic next to the green malachite. How it is made: The hammered tungsten core is made in a pressurized mold and I only have the ability to make full and half sizes. From there it is plated in 18K rose gold and then it is covered in tape to protect the finish. The whiskey wood in then inlayed into the tungsten core and a channel is created for the malachite. Once the malachite is carefully inlayed, a protective waterproof resin is applied. It is then polished to 50K grit by using sand paper, polishing pads, and waxes.
