I've always wondered about all the repetitive detail in Torah passages about the building of the tabernacle and Ark. Then, from a brilliant and insightful bat mitzvah student, I learned that each one of us embodies a tabernacle in which to hold God, a holy, original place where every detail is beloved and as unique as a fingerprint (illustrated in this print, which shows Torah text in the courtyard of the tabernacle in the shape of a fingerprint ). We learn, grow, make art, sing, write, dance—we become ourselves—and everything we do in our lives is a creative offering to God unlike any other.
