This set is marked and produced by C.A. Lund Company, one of the four companies that developed snowshoes during WWII. Crafted with the Bear Paw style, they are both stamped and dated 1945, with the serial number of 32049. Made of wood and sinew, the leather foot straps have hardened with age, and are best suitable for display and visual enjoyment. Hang them above your mantelpiece or even propped up on your front porch -- a wonderful way to easily incorporate some nostalgic charm!  The C.A. Lund factory was originally located in Hastings, MN where they produced skis, toboggans, hockey sticks and snowshoes.
