35 x 50 in. (90 x 128 cm) Condition: Excellent Swiss graphic designer Werner Jeker (1944-) designed this poster for a 1986 exhibition of Swiss furniture design. The poster features the “Seconda” chair, designed in 1982 by Swiss architect Mario Botta. In keeping with postmodern trends of the time, the chair references and reinterprets modern designs of the past. Botta's understated design can be seen as a restrained Swiss response to the flamboyant expressions of postmodernism that emerged elsewhere in the early 1980s. Jeker’s gridded composition complements the simple geometric volumes of Botta’s design.
