Clément Baraut's Savennières "Le Pitrouillet" is a white wine from the Loire Valley, crafted exclusively from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes. The grapes are sourced from the lower section of a north-facing parcel in Savennières, characterized by sandy decomposed schist and sandstone soils over a schist bedrock. Cultivated using biodynamic practices, the vines are tended with minimal intervention to preserve the purity of the fruit. Harvested at optimal ripeness, the grapes undergo gentle pressing, followed by natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
