Spring Drive SBGA384
A U.S. limited edition that honors the distinct beauty of 44GS and Kira-zuri Inspired by a Japanese painting technique called Kira-zuri, meaning sparkling painting, the lustrous dial of SBGA384 takes a life of its own. With a fine texture that plays with the light, the dial of this timepiece is highly dynamic and changes in profound ways given the environment. SBGA384 features Grand Seiko's modern 44GS design, a contemporary take on the 44GS that first launched in 1967 and formed the cornerstone of the Grand Seiko Style. By retaining much of its core DNA, the modern interpretation of the 44GS is one of Grand Seiko's best known designs, and it's a pillar of the brand's catalog today. Normally done in stainless steel, the case is rendered here in luxurious 18k rose gold. The movement powering this watch is the Spring Drive Caliber 9R15, which is accurate to +/-10 seconds per month. It is assembled at the Shinshu Watch Studio in Japan. SBGA384 is a limited edition of 50 pieces.
