The sticky rice scented pu-erh fermented tea has the classic earthy taste that we love in fermented pu-erh, infused with the comforting, rich scent of a freshly-cooked pot of rice. This scent is imparted into the pu-erh tea by adding a wild-grown plant that is native to the southern region of Yunnan, called “糯米香” (literally “sticky rice fragrance”), into the pu-erh’s fermenting and aging process. This tea is a beloved drink among the Dai people, a minority group that is indigenous to southern Yunnan.
