String Height Gauge with Rail

The String Height Gauge with Rail employs a rail to minimize keybed-benchtop discrepancy errors (with a thumb nut that spins down in the middle to prevent deflection during use). This assembly is included in both the Regulation Station Deluxe and the Regulation Station Full Monte. Up to 10 sample string heights can be recorded through vertically distinct registration holes onto an aluminum plunger. The adjustable-length rail provides a necessary surface for the String Height Gauge to ride on at the Custom Keybed. If you are looking for a tool to use exclusively at the piano (for leveling strings) or for use with a Regulating Rack at your workbench, you will want a taller version of this tool known as the Underlevel/String Height Gauge.
