What exactly is loden? The color's name comes from the German Loden, a course thick woolen fabric. While in the original German, Loden does not necessarily refer to a color, due to the wool of the mountain sheep, the color tends to be an earth color—somewhere between green and brown. The Loden suede paired with dark chocolate welts and edge stain makes for a sharp, plain-toe boot. The dark Loden suede combined with natural welts and edge stain offers contrast without being too loud. The brass eyelets complement the two colors, pairing nicely with the welt.  Goodyear-welt construction Leo last Repello calf suede from Charles F.
