Glaze Firing | Wed July 16th

7/12 | Drop off deadline7/17 | Pick up begins Is the bottom signed? Pots are required to be signed either with your branded stamp/signature or your first and last name. Unsigned pots or those with initials only will not be fired.  Is it clean? Glaze should be completely removed from the bottom, and at least 1/8 inch up the wall to prevent it from sticking to the kiln shelf. If not, your pot will not be fired. Does it need a kiln cookie? If you used a "runny glaze" or layered glazes together we recommend using a kiln cookie, or small plate, underneath your pot to prevent it from sticking to the kiln shelf in case the glaze runs. Cookies should not exceed 1/2 inch on each side of the piece. If it does, the weight of the cookie should be included in the weight of the total piece to account for the extra room it is taking in the kiln.
