This baby Lake Cuitzeo Garter Snake is now available for adoption! Thamnophis eques cuitzeoensis, a variation of Mexican Gartersnake, is still quite uncommon in private collections of garter snake enthusiasts. This subspecies is recognized for its large and robust body structure, especially in females! Although the neonates sport a distinct pattern, the adults are almost entirely black, showcasing a mesmerizing opal-like bluish sheen. These snakes have hearty appetites, but sometimes shy away from human interaction.
