Four Inch Drinking Glass Coaster

     This item is in this collectible category because I cannot find any information on this coaster. What I do know is it is old, because I have had it for a number of decades packed away. There is no hallmark, backstamp, or maker’s marks on it. On the top on the inside area is the word “greetings” with a design of a couple of buildings, which look like they may have snow on them, and a snowman with a top hat on. In addition, on the top outer rim is a stamped rope design. it is made of thin stainless steel that has been press stamped out of a big sheet of metal and the design is also stamped on the inside of the coaster and then polish to give a high sliver polish finish. It is four inches in diameter and a quarter inch high. I think it is a coaster for holding a drinking glass. In addition, it would have been one out of a coaster set and the set would have been 4, 6, or 8 coasters. It does have Christmas scenery on it which would make one think it would have been used for the holiday
