Imperial Canapé Rose Milk Glass Plater

     Here is a very rare find, a collector delight; it is an "Imperial Canapé Vintage Milk Glass Rose" plater with scalloped edge and a raised pattern on the front and back of the plater. You may wonder why this plate is rare when there are a lot of these platers on the market. Most of the milk glass platers on the market from Imperial Glass Co. are 10.50” in diameter and this is 12.50” in diameter. In addition, the 10.50” Imperial platers have two full blooming flowers and five buds on the front and this 12.50” plater has three full blooming flowers and nine buds. Looking at the back of the more common 10.50” platers there is one flower in full bloom, one flower in half bloom and five buds in each of the three sections. This 12.50” plater has two full blooming flowers and four buds in each of the three sections on the back.
