Sueves, The – Tears of Joy [IMPORT] – New LP
I like this record! This is the third release from the Chicago-based band. The term “garage band” gets thrown around so much lately that it feels like it has lost its meaning but if you were looking for it in a record store, that’s the section this record would probably live in. Although they’ve been on a couple of labels, and this record is self-released, I could see them sharing stages with lots of Castleface bands. Fast, relentless, squiggly rock’n’roll guitars and catchy hooks; this record is impossible not to bop your head to. The album art alone is A+! –Emily T.
