Unknowns, The – East Coast Low [IMPORT] – New LP
2nd pressing, blue lettering on jacketin the 1970s a few of the best were able to take key 1950s and 1960s (primarily early-mid 1960 as well as VU and Stooges), and make their sounds completely fresh..and that’s what I hear here, folks like eddie cochran, gene vincent, bo diddley, and buddy holly yanked through the stink and glory of some of the best of the 1970s (especially NYC, Detroit, but elsewhere as well..bits of Bolin, Stones, Saints, Misfits, Cheap Trick, DMZ, Nerves... Dolls, Stooges, Ramones, Heartbreakers, Blondie...), coming out the other end stretching their arms, smearing the soot from their dirty faces, smelling fresh...the Australians have been managing to do that so well for so long, and if this album is any evidence, they got no plans to stop anytime soon. This is kick, this is supersonic, this is love...this band’s got the rock and the roll oozing out their skulls. — winchEast Coast Low LP by The Unknowns European release of The Unknowns second LP, released
