Pink Splatter vinyl w/ downloadZoon Phonanta by Zoon Phonanta While it's easy say their sounds come from the 1980s, it's perhaps more accurate to say this comes out of the sounds of the 1970s that laid down much of the groundwork for the the decade that followed, this often sounding like it's coming out of various 1970s electronic soundtracks, such as the more menacing and dark side of the spectrum of bands like Tangerine Dream, perhaps showing an influence from TD's "Sorcerer" soundtrack (1977).  While this creates atmospheric soundscapes, it also has drive, and the influences of artists such as Kraftwerk, Pink Floyd, Carpenter and Moroder likely show up, as does perhaps the influence of early euro-disco of the mid 1970s with bands like Silver Convention (at at least one moment female vocals unexpectedly show up on this Zoon Phonanta LP) but reviewers use of "disco" even with the qualifiers seems a bit of a stretch.  Maybe you could place this album somewhere in the wide abyss between
