Named after Dr. W.T. Brightwell the Brightwell is an upright, vigorous plant that ripens early to mid season blueberries, producing consistent crops of large, juicy berries that are almost seedless. Can be fast frozen without washing to strengthen the skin, or dried for later use.  No major pests or diseases, plant in full sun, to partial shade in an acid soil between pH of 4 and 5, and a use of 50% peat moss in the planting soil that will fulfill an important requirement.
