The Red Chokeberry Shrub (Aronia arbutifolia) is a deciduous, multi-stemmed suckering shrub that typically grows in a vase-shaped, Clusters of white/pink, flowers appear in spring, followed by abundant red berries, which appear in dense clusters along the branches. Berries ripen in late summer and persist on the shrub throughout fall and well into winter. Leaves are elliptic glossy dark green and gray/green beneath.
