West Wind Cypress Tree

The West Wind Cypress Tree (Leyland Cypress x Cupressocyparis leylandii 'Gold Rider') is an evergreen conifer that is not well known. A cross between Leyland and Gold Rider gives the best of two sought after varieties. A beautiful tree, with golden lush foliage that is a show stopper of an addition to any landscape. Habit is open, upright, horizontal branching covered with dense, bright gold-tipped needle-like sprays, contrasting with lime green interior foliage. *Like many evergreen hedges, trees and shrubs, browning is common during colder months. *See photos for examples.
