Land of Saints is a collaboration between three friends ― Angela and Jason Osborne (A Tribute to Grace Wine Company), and Manuel Cuevas (C2 Cellars) ― who met in 2013 and found themselves united by a love of California and the vinous expressions of Santa Barbara County, such as this elegant, organic Merlot (blended with just 7% Petit Verdot and harvested from one exceptional site in Happy Canyon. On the nose, this plush red is fragrant with cherries and notes of mint and licorice. Every sip is textured and slightly savory, with notes of blackberry, coffee, and cocoa. The tannins linger gently on the finish, making the an easy partner for everything from cheese to chili.
