Caran d'Ache Sketcher Non-Photo Blue PencilNon-Photo Blue PencilMade in Switzerland A useful sketching tool.  This is indeed a useful pencil for preliminary sketches that you intend to scan into your computer, as the blue doesn't really show up.   It is also useful, even if you don't intend to digitize your artwork.  A blue sketch can really fade into the background because the blue is a much lighter value than the dark grey of graphite.  There are many types of non-photo blue pencils on the market, but this is our favorite.  It has a creamy consistency and a white eraser, which will help to keep your nice papers smudge free (as some colored erasers can transfer their color to the paper).    © Greenleaf & Blueberry 2020www.greenleafblueberry.com
