Verditer~Full Pan~Greenleaf & Blueberry Artisanal Handmade Watercolors   Color Name: VerditerPigment: VerditerColor Index No.: PB30 Description:  Smooth jewel-tone blue, similar in hue to natural Azurite, but with handling characteristics more similar to an Ochre pigment.   Verditer is a historical pigment and the synthetic form of Azurite.  It is a basic copper carbonate and was widely used in the 16 and 1700s in Europe.  It is known to be very stable and lightfast in watercolor (it can darken in oil).   Like Azurite, because of their copper-containing chemical compositions, this is not a pigment to be ingested and the dry pigment shouldn't be inhaled (this is why copper pots are lined).
