Bulova Accutron Date & Day CD "Woody" - Full Set
There's A Snake In My Boot!.. Or, I mean, Watch... DESCRIPTION 1970's Advert Poster from user, Bob Bruno, on MyBulova.com - https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1974-accutron-date-day-cd-5140?page=0 Produced for only two years in 1973 and 1974. This model is highly sought after by Bulova collectors for its unique design that is so evocative of the early 1970's. Although the watch was produced not using real wood, Bulova instead used a faux wood with a rosewood texture since a lot of watches with wood would break down over time. Even then, it's incredibly difficult to find a Woody in pristine condition since the faux wood does peel off with time. The dial on this watch has also patinated into a beautiful bubble galaxy pattern that I have not seen before on this model. Here's a picture of the watch in a vintage bulova catalog.
